Actress Sally Field Arrested At Climate Change Protest In Washington D.C.

Actress Sally Field was arrested in Washington D.C. at the Capitol building on Friday as she was participating in a climate change protest.

As The New York Post reports:

Actress Sally Field was arrested at Jane Fonda‘s weekly climate protest in front of the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on Friday, a report said.

The “Forrest Gump” actress, along with 26 other demonstrators, was put in plastic cuffs by US Capitol Police for taking part in Fonda’s protests, dubbed “Fire Drill Fridays,” CNN reported.

In an impromptu speech at the demonstration, Field said “the time is now” to act on climate change, according to the video shared on the group’s Twitter feed.

“We can not sit back in our comfort zones, on our couches, and wonder what can we do?” she said.

Friday’s demonstration was the 10th straight week of the protest organized by far-left actress Jane Fonda, who worked with North Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam war to produce ant-U.S. propaganda.
