Beto O'Rourke was the Democrat's poster child for the midterm elections. He raised an exceptional amount of money for his campaign but he lost. O'Rourke was defeated by Ted Cruz in Texas.

According to the New York Post:

Beto O’Rourke may have lost his Senate race in Texas against Republican Ted Cruz, but his celebrity supporters have already shrugged it off and are setting their sights on the White House for the Democratic upstart.

“Beto lost? That’s ok. Now he can run for President,” actress Alyssa Milano wrote on her Twitter accountshortly after the election was called for Cruz.

Moments later she added: “#Beto2020.”

Olivia Wilde, whose mother, Leslie Cockburn, lost her congressional race in Virginia to Republican Denver Riggleman, said she was on board.

Many other celebs jumped on the Beto bandwagon and even suggested losing candidate Andrew Gillum as his running mate.
