Michael Moore, Bill Maher, and many other celebrities compared the shocking end of the Oscars Sunday to the results of the 2016 election.
Almost immediately after Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway read the wrong movie for Best Picture of the Year, announcing “La La Land” instead of “Moonlight,” celebrities via Twitter turned the whole thing political with many wishing the same thing could have happened on election night, revealing Hillary Clinton as the winner instead of President Donald Trump.
“OMG! A huge f***-up in who won! HILLARY CLINTON IS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES,” Michael Moore tweeted. Later adding, “This is why the Academy has to institute a booth review of every award (or at least any award given in the final 2 minutes). #NFL #Oscars.”
