New York-based stand-up comedian Kevin Barnett has died. He was 32.
Barnett’s passing was first announced by The Stand comedy club on Tuesday. Chelsea Peretti retweeted the news and added, “I am so sad.” The Last Podcast Network, which hosted the podcast “The Roundtable of Gentlemen,” in which Barnett participated, also released a statement on social media.
“Dear Last Podcast family, It’s with a heavy heart we inform you of the passing of Kevin Barnett,” the statement read. “The joy he brought to our lives is the greatest gift we have ever received. Remind your friends you love them because you never know when you’ll see them again. We love you KB.”
Fellow comedian Yannis Pappas also tweeted his condolences, writing, “RIP another comedian who was a great dude. Seriously a great dude. @Fatboybarnett rest easy Kevin.”
