There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Disney CEO Bob Iger and whether he will run for president or not in 2020. Iger has finally broken his silence and announced he will not be running for president.

According to the Orlando Sentinel:

Walt Disney chairman Bob Iger had been rumored to be considering diving into the 2020 presidential mix- but on Tuesday, he put the speculation to rest.

"I happen to be speaking with a presidential historian, but it's just a coincidence,” Iger said at the Vanity Fair summit, according to Yahoo Finance. “Just to set the record straight — I am not [running for president]. We keep coming back to this. I’m running the Walt Disney company."

Vogue reported earlier this year that his wife, Willow Bay, hated the idea but gave him permission to “explore the possibility of a White House run.”

But Disney’s massive acquisition of 21st Century Fox made that impossible, he said.

Iger has famously clashed with President Trump since he took office but it seems to still not be enough for him to toss his hat into the ring.
