Disney’s Hall of Presidents Might Not Have a Speaking President Trump

President Donald Trump will appear in Disney’s “Hall of Presidents,” but now there’s talk about whether the animatronics’ version will say anything.

The popular attraction, which first opened in 1971, features a robotic presentation of all the presidents back to the George Washington. Since 1993, the sitting president has shared messages of hope with the visitors of the attraction. There is now talk that Disney World will return to the model set up before 1993 and not have the Trump robot speak.

“Given how polarizing the president is right now, Disney Parks & Resorts is currently trying to find [a solution] that approaches middle ground,” a source told Vice. “They want to include our 45th commander-in-chief in this 45-year-old theme park attraction, while at the same time, not seem to endorse or support some of Trump’s more controversial policies.”

“Given President Trump’s current problems,” the source added. “Walt Disney World might elect to push the attraction’s opening date back to the fall and then make further tweaks to the show.”
