Garth Brooks Reveals Why He Won’t Perform at the Inauguration

At least he’s got a great explanation.

Aside from the protests that Donald Trump will be dealing with during his inauguration, he’s having a VERY difficult time trying to land an A-list performer. Well, despite Garth Brooks turning down the offer, the country crooner at least wanted to share his thoughts on why he’s not doing it!

On Monday, the singer took to Facebook to post an video updating fans and answering some questions. As you probably know, Garth was asked by TMZ over a month ago about performing at Trump’s event and the 54-year-old said he would if it worked out. Brooks explained businessman Steve Wynn made the Grammy winner a formal offer, but since the artist is in the middle of a two-year world tour, he told Wynn he would “leave it up to karma.” And no, that’s not a stripper in Vegas. HA!

After Garth’s ticket sales caused him to add three shows in Cincinnati, the Friends in Low Places singer could not commit to the inauguration.
