The ratings are in after President Donald Trump tweeted his more than 50 million followers to watch a “big show” on Sean Hannity’s program Wednesday evening.
Hannity had an impressive 3 million viewers for his “big show,” but Rachel Maddow beat him with 3.3 million average viewers for her progressive show on MSNBC in the same 9 p.m. time slot.
This follows in the pattern set in March when Maddow overtook Hannity’s show with 3.058 million against Hannity’s average total audience of 3 million.
Hannity had consistently beaten Maddow since his show was moved to the same slot as her show in September 2018, but the liberal fan favorite has slowly become competitive. Hannity had 3.3 million average viewers for his first show in September, and trounced Maddow at 2.66 million viewers.
