Colbert then declared that gender is a "spectrum" while failing to provide any facts to back up his point.
Comedian Stephen Colbert has officially gone as far to the left as he can go on the transgender debate, a stance that flies in the face of his self-professed Catholic faith.
In another one of his rants disguised as comedy on Monday night, Colbert blasted the Justice Department's new policy of recognizing gender as a "biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth," a complete reversal of the Obama administration. The comedic host castigated this policy as yet another example of "cruelty" from the Trump administration's "wheel of discrimination."
"There’s more random cruelty from the Trump administration coming down the pike," Stephen Colbert said. "This time, they spun the wheel of discrimination and they landed on ‘transgender,’ because we just learned of a new Trump plan in which they would narrowly define gender as a biological condition determined by genitalia at birth, which means that transgender people could be defined out of existence."
Contrary to Colbert's hysteria, the new policy did not "define" transgenders out of existence; it only admitted biological fact — science. Speaking of science, Colbert suddenly has a problem with it.
