Leonardo DiCaprio and Donald Trump met in New York on Wednesday.
The Oscar-winning actor and the CEO of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation met with the president-elect, Ivanka Trump and other members of Trump’s team at Trump Tower for about 90 minutes to discuss how green jobs could promote the economy.
“Today, we presented the President-elect and his advisers with a framework — which LDF developed in consultation with leading voices in the fields of economics and environmentalism — that details how to unleash a major economic revival across the United States that is centered on investments in sustainable infrastructure,” Terry Tamminen, the head of DiCaprio’s foundation, said in a statement to the Associated Press.
“Our conversation focused on how to create millions of secure, American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation.”
