Mariah Carey Attempts First Performance Since Disastrous New Year’s Eve Gig

Mariah Carey is set to make her return to the stage for the first time since her disastrous New Year’s Eve performance on Dick Clark’s “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.”

Carey announced that she will be joining “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Wednesday night to perform her new song “I Don’t.”

This will be the 46-year-old’s first public performance since her botched NYE performance — although the singer did perform at a lavish wedding for Russian billionaire Valery Kogan’s granddaughter in January.

Carey was performing a three-song set for the “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” show when she stopped in the middle of a song and said she was having difficulties with her ear piece. Mariah’s representatives claimed the performance was intentionally sabotaged for ratings and she was “set up to fail.”
