Pink Floyd doesn’t want another brick in President Trump‘s wall.
“Well, it’s so dumb, obviously. He’s been confronted with it now, because obviously he’s not going to be able to build anything, because it’s too f—ing expensive, and the people won’t wear it. It’s a really stupid idea,” Roger Waters, Pink Floyd’s co-founder, told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Tuesday.
In his 2018 budget, Trump included $1.6 billion for “bricks and mortar” for the wall on the Mexican border, fulfilling at least part of a campaign vow to build a wall and “make Mexico pay for it.”
The British rocker called the idea “ridiculous.”
“The whole concept is a complete non-starter, except as an exercise in control — not of the border, of your electorate. Keep people dumb, uneducated, whatever, so you can go on milking them.”
