Schwarzenegger Opens Up

Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger recently gave an interview where he opened up about a wide range of topics including his view on manliness.

According to The Daily Wire:

In a wide-ranging and rather entertaining interview with Men’s Health published this week, former Mister Universe and California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed a bunch of things, including his past efforts to combat the “gay” associations with body building, how changes to bodybuilding relate to global warming, his view of manliness, and his past use of the term “girlie man.”

While the interview is certainly worth reading in its entirety, below are some entertaining excerpts.

On whether his views of masculinity have changed:

I’ve not changed my view. I’m a guy. I would not change my view of who I am. The woman I was originally most in love with was my mother. I respected her, and she was a fantastic woman. I always had respect for women. Fatherhood is really the greatest joy. Watching all five of my kids grow into their own successful lives is fantastic. Spending time with them, working out together, answering their questions makes me so happy.

Schwarzenegger also discussed how he regrets calling his opponents “girlie men” and how global warming is affecting bodybuilding.
