The organizers have stated that they will target the Senators who have not solidified their vote on Kavanaugh as of yet.
Celebrity activists, sensing an opportunity to snag headlines, are planning a star-studded protest against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh Thursday, and Lena Dunham, John Legend, Amy Schumer, and Alicia Keys are already on board.
The protest titled "#CANCELKAVANAUGH" will be held outside the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse in Washington, D.C. around noon on Thursday, well after the FBI is expected to release its report on Kavanaugh's high school hijinks but before a floor vote is scheduled to take place in the Senate.
According to USA Today, the performances and speeches are timed to coincide with a national "walkout," the second of its kind to take place during Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination process. Other celebrities, who apparently could not clear their schedules to be in D.C. on such short notice, say they'll walk off the job Thursday at 12:30pm EDT in solidarity with the less in-demand entertainers slated to perform at the protest.
Party Majority PAC is sponsoring the protest, according to a dramatic statement posted on the group's website.
