Ronan Farrow’s latest exposé for The New Yorker is all about Donald Trump and his cheating ways. Much like Stormy Daniels’ story, this one also involves an alleged NDA and a pay-off, and a timeline that puts it not too far away from when Melania Trump gave birth to their son Barron.
Ronan spoke to Karen McDougal, former Playboy Playmate of the Year and runner-up for Sexiest Playmate of the 1990s (#1 was Pamela Anderson). Karen says she met Trump at the Playboy Mansion in June 2006 while he was taping an episode of The Apprentice: Los Angeles. Hugh Hefner threw a pool party for contestants and invited current and former Playmates. At the time of the party, Trump had been married to Melania for about a year and a half, and she had just given birth to Barron about three months earlier. Karen alleges that Trump was all over her at the party, so much so that a Playmate Promotions employee joked that she might be his next wife.
Karen was clearly wooed by Trump and they began an affair after he got her phone number. Karen says it was completely consensual. She says their first hook-up happened at the Beverly Hills Hotel (he also allegedly took Stormy Daniels there too). Trump allegedly tried to pay her after they had sex. When she told him she wasn’t “that girl,” he said reportedly told her she was “special.” Karen says she continued to see him when he was in Los Angeles, and that he always ate the same thing – steak and mashed potatoes. He also flew her out to Trump Tower in NYC, and offered to buy her an apartment in New York and one in Tampa, FL. Their affair lasted nine months, and ended after the guilt of the situation became unbearable for her.
One of Karen’s friends gave Ronan an eight-page letter from her and it details her affair with Trump.
