Billionaire futurist Elon Musk has announced that he’ll be throwing his support behind Democrat underdog Andrew Yang in the 2020 Presidential race. As Fox News reports:
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that he would put his support behind long-shot Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
“I support Yang,” Musk tweeted on Saturday. Perhaps jokingly, he added that Yang would be the U.S.’ “first openly goth president.”

The 44-year-old Yang thanked Musk…
Thank you Elon – this means a great deal. Congrats on building the future. ????????

Yang, who is hoping to become the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, has largely run on a platform endorsing universal basic income (UBI), a government program that would deliver $1,000 monthly payments to all individuals, regardless of employment status, to help with the rise of automation.
Even with the Billionaire’s endorsement, the question remains open as to whether Yang has a realistic chance of winning the Democratic primary.
