Fox Forced To Cancel Show After Actor Timothy Hutton Accused Of Raping 14-Year-Old In 1983

Fox has now reportedly been forced to cancel its drama series ‘Almost Family’ after Sera Johnston, a former model, accused actor Timothy Hutton of raping her in 1983, when she was only 14-years-old.

As The Daily Mail reports:

Fox has reportedly cancelled drama series Almost Family after a former model accused Oscar-winning star Timothy Hutton of raping her nearly four decades ago when she was 14 years old.

Sera Johnston, now 50, made the bombshell claim in a Buzzfeed News report published on Monday. Hutton vigorously denies the allegations.

Within hours, Fox cancelled the drama series after just one season, an insider told TheWrap.

Canadian Johnston said she met Hutton in 1983 while he was in Vancouver filming Iceman, and that she and two friends were invited to the actor’s hotel room at the Denman Place Inn.

Once she was in the hotel room she claims Hutton, along with one of his friends, then proceeded to rape and sexually assault her.

Johnston has filed a criminal complain with the Vancouver police department and the investigation is currently ongoing.

Hutton’s lawyer claimed in response that the allegations were ‘patently false.’
