Host Of ‘Love Island’ Caroline Flack Found Dead From Apparent Suicide

The former host of the hit UK reality TV series ‘Love Island,’ Caroline Flack, has been found dead in her London apartment, seemingly from suicide.

As The New York Post reports:

Caroline Flack — the former host you UK series “Love Island” — has been found dead in her London apartment from an apparent suicide.

“We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time,” reads a statement from her family sent to The Daily Mail. Flack is the third “Love Island” star to meet an early demise, as previous contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon also took their own lives following their appearances on the dating show.

The 40-year-old star’s death comes just weeks before her court date on assault charges, as partner Lewis Burton accused Flack of hitting him with a lamp back in December before later backtracking on the allegations.

Yesterday, the tennis player posted a picture of him and Flack on Instagram and wrote: “Happy Valentine’s… Love You.” The post has since been deleted.

ITV, the home network of ‘Love Island,’ released a statement expressing their condolences to the family and friends of the late host.
