Legendary TV Host Announces His Retirement

Longtime ‘Jeopardy’ host Alex Trebek has announced he will retire in 2020.

Page Six reports:

Don’t count on Alex Trebek to stay on “Jeopardy” past 2020.

The iconic game show host, who’s been at the helm of “Jeopardy” since 1984, tells FOX News Channel’s “OBJECTified” there’s a “50/50 [chance] and a little less” that he’ll stay on board when his contract expires in two years.

When Harvey Levin asks Trebek, 78, if he can imagine life without “Jeopardy,” he delivers a very confident “Sure.”

When the time comes for him to retire, Trebek has got at least two people in mind to replace him.

“I mentioned to our producer not so long ago that the fellow that does play-by-play for the Los Angeles Kings — they should consider him,” Trebek said,
