Oprah Hits The Campaign Trail

Oprah Winfrey has hit the campaign trail but not for president. At least not yet. Oprah is currently campaigning in Georgia for the Dem gubernatorial candidate running there.

According to Page Six:

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey will take her star-power to Georgia to campaign for Stacey Abrams as the Democrat attempts to become the first black woman governor in the United States, according to a report Wednesday.

The self-made billionaire will hold two town halls and knock on doors to encourage voters to come out for Abrams on Thursday – just five days before the midterm elections, BuzzFeed News reported.

Winfrey’s visit to the Peach State comes just a day before former President Obama will campaign for Abrams and other Democrats during a rally at Morehouse College in Atlanta.

Other high-profile Democrats, including former Vice President Joe Biden and Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker, also have stumped for Abrams in the state.

Republicans are rallying around her GOP opponent as well as Vice President Mike Pence is expected to attend a campaign rally for him soon.
