Rapper Chris Brown has found himself in legal hot water over possessing a Capuchin monkey without the proper permit and was charged with two misdemeanors in the state of California.
A judge in Los Angeles has order him to give up all rights to his pet monkey ‘Fiji’ and pay $35,000 towards the costs of it’s future care.

A Los Angeles judge has ordered Chris Brown to give up all rights to his former pet monkey Fiji and to pay for its future care.
The 30-year-old singer entered a diversion program almost one year after being charged with two misdemeanors regarding his possession of a pet Capuchin monkey without a permit.
An agreement reached in court prevents Brown from buying any monkeys until June 6, 2020.
He also has to pay $35,000 to the undisclosed monkey retreat facility where Fiji is now living.
