‘Seinfeld’ Star Julia Louis Dreyfus Slams ‘Very Sexist’ SNL

‘Seinfeld’ Star Julie Louis-Dreyfus slammed Saturday Night Live, of which she was a former cast mate, during an interview with Stephen Colbert accusing the show of being ‘very sexist’ during her time there.

As The New York Post reports:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus opened up about her time as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” in a recent interview, blasting the workplace at the popular comedy show as “very sexist.”

Louis-Dreyfus, 58, made the revelations Saturday night in a sit-down with Stephen Colbert at a packed fundraiser for his wife’s film and arts organization at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, according to USA Today.

“There were plenty of people on the show who were incredibly funny,” conceded Louis-Dreyfus, who worked on the long-running sketch comedy show from 1982 to 1985.

But she said, “I was unbelievably naive and I didn’t really understand how the dynamics of the place worked. It was very sexist, very sexist.”

Dreyfus also opened up about what she described as rampant drug abuse among staffers on the NBC show during her time there.
