NFL quarterback Drew Brees turned on President Trump and the American flag on Friday by siding with Black Lives Matter protestors in a post to Instagram. As The Daily Wire reports:
On Friday, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees issued an Instagram statement to President Donald Trump.
“To Donald Trump,” the text-image reads:
Through my ongoing conversations with friends, teammates, and leaders in the black community, I realize this is not an issue about the American flag. It has never been. We can no longer use the flag to turn people away or distract them from the real issues that face our black communities.
We did this back in 2017, and regretfully I brought it back with my comments this week. We must stop talking about the flag and shift our attention to the real issues of systemic racial injustice, economic oppression, police brutality, and judicial & prison reform.
President Trump wasted little time in firing back at Brees however, tweeting out a condemnation of his capitulation to the radical left:

I also stopped watching any NFL games including Super Bowl because of players, owners, coaches and Commissioner insulted our Flag, nation and those that have served and especially those that died for our freedom. I was a big fan of Drew Brees until this latest retraction and his reply to our President. So sad to see America fall so far down as it has. I still have hope that America will rise again and ALL Americans respect our Flag and Nation.

Though brought up in a poverty stricken neighborhood and abusive household, the government would define me and my siblings
as having a blessed upbringing due to living in a two parent household which was very rare in my community. Neither my mother or father had beyond a 9th grade education. There were many days that we barely had food to eat.

AJ – defunding the police actually worked in Camden, New Jersey. The police dept was struggling to eliminate bad cops thanks to the union that protected them. When the police dept was abolished, the county took over policing the city and all those cops now reported to THE SHERIFF.
When that happened, bad cop issues dwindled as did the crime and homicides.
