Howard Stern and Charles Barkley Trash Kyrie Irving Over Vaccine Refusal

Radio shock jock Howard Stern and ‘Inside the NBA’ host Charles Barkley bashed Brooklyn Nets baller Kyrie Irving for refusing to get vaxxed.

“In terms of idiots, he’s gotta be the top idiot in the country right now,” Stern said on Tuesday. “Guy’s got a chance as a young man to make millions of dollars, all he’s got to do is get vaccinated, but he doesn’t want to get vaccinated.”

Irving is ineligible to play home games at the Barclays Center, due to New York City’s vaccine mandate, and is slated to only receive half of his $34 million salary. However, the Nets announced last week that they were choosing to bench their superstar for the season until he choses to get the jab.

“This is about my life and what I am choosing to do,” Irving said after the team’s decision. “The financial consequences, I know I do not want to even do that, but it is reality that in order to be in New York City, in order to be on a team, I have to be vaccinated. I chose to be unvaccinated, and that was my choice, and I would ask you all to just respect that choice.”

“Stay home. Die there with your COVID,” Stern spat on his SiriusXM radio show. “Don’t take the cure, but don’t clog up our hospitals with your COVID when you finally get it. Don’t bother with science, it’s too late. Go fuck yourself ― we just don’t have time for you.”

Barkley concurred with Stern’s assessment the same day. “First of all, you don’t get the vaccine for yourself, you get it for other people,” he said. “I got vaccinated, I can’t wait to get the booster… You get vaccinated for your family first, you get vaccinated for your teammates second. That’s what bothers me about this whole thing.”

Both Barkley and Stern are impressed with how the Nets have handled the situation.

“I really am proud of the Nets for putting their foot down,” Barkley remarked. “For saying no, we’re not going to deal with this half on, half off (situation). The only thing that bugs me is he’s still going to make $17 million sitting at home.”

Stern thinks the team’s management should be in charge of the nation. “I don’t know who runs the Brooklyn Nets, but I wish they were running the country,” Stern concluded. “I love this. Basically saying, ‘Listen, douchebag. You’ve got to do what is right, that’s it.’”

It’s amazing , only a few short years ago, Howard said he’d never support another Democrat. Now he’s all out for them. It’s amazing how money can change the minds of the very shallow.
