‘The View’ Passes On Fox News Star Over Vaccine Refusal

ABC’s “The View” is having a rough go at trying to find a replacement for conservative co-host Meghan McCain, but they passed up on a prime candidate from Fox News over her aversion to getting vaccinated.

Fox News contributor Lisa Marie Boothe was reportedly in the running for the liberal show’s open slot, but producers rejected her once they became aware of her views on vaccination. She wrote an op-ed for Newsweek in November, explaining why she was not vaccinated.

“As a healthy 36-year-old woman, COVID-19 does not pose a statistically meaningful threat to my life. I have a 99.97 percent chance of survival,” she questioned. “Why would I get a vaccine for a virus that I do not fear and that isn’t a threat to my life—particularly when there is an element of risk from the vaccines?”

“I am not vaccinated. In a sane society, a personal decision like this would not warrant a column, or even an explanation. But we do not live in a sane society.”

Boothe interviewed with execs, but wasn’t even allowed to try out as a guest host, when her “stance on vaccinations became apparent,” according to a source, and “further conversation became a ‘moot point’ and a ‘non-starter’ due to the network’s strict policies.”

The conservative pundit went on an anti-vax rant earlier this week, presumably in response to the news of her rejection by ABC going public.

“What is the point of mandating a vaccine that doesn’t stop the spread of COVID?” she began in a lengthy Twitter tirade on Monday. “I really enjoy telling people to get bent lately. It makes me laugh to myself when I say it.”

“At what point does everyone admit that we can’t stop COVID? It’s impossible. It’s part of our lives now,” she wrote later the same day. “I understand why people don’t want to get COVID. It sucks, but it’s just so contagious it’s kind of inevitable.”

“How much of society do you want to destroy for something you are likely going to get no matter what precautions you take?” Boothe questioned

She was lauded by social media supporters for “refusing to cower in the face of corporate corruption, when she didn’t bow to ABC and get the jab, but faced her fair share of criticism from liberal haters.

When one tweeter accused her of being “part of the problem,” Boothe responded: “Look around you lady, everyone is getting and spreading COVID. It’s a virus.”
