We’re tracking the conservative culture clash with woke Hollywood hypocrites to keep you up to date on who’s winning and who we hate.

 Here’s what happened today:

Cause of Death

Brian Laundrie, travel influencer Gabby Petito’s alleged killer, died by apparent suicide according to a forensic anthropologist who inspected his skeletal remains after they were discovered in a 25,000 acre nature reserve near his parents hom in Florida.

“Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide,” the family’s attorney said in a statement. “Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.”

Laundrie’s remains were discovered on Oct. 20, concluding a national manhunt that began after 22 year-old Petito’s body was found at a Wyoming campground a month prior. Her mother filed a missing persons report ten days after Laundrie returned home from a joint cross-country trip in Petito’s van without her.

“General Hospital” star Steve Burton confirmed he is leaving the daytime soap opera over the production’s vaccine mandate.

“I know that there’s been a lot of rumors and speculations about me and ‘General Hospital,’ and I wanted you to hear it from me personally. Unfortunately, ‘General Hospital’ has let me go because of the vaccine mandate,” Burton remarked in an Instagram video. “I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions and both of those were denied, which, you know hurts, but this is also about personal freedom to me.”

“I don’t think anybody should lose their livelihood over this. But with that being said, you know me, I’ll always be grateful for my time at ‘General Hospital.’ I love it there. I grew up there,” said the fan favorite. “I grew up with some of you, so I’ll always be grateful, and I believe that when one door closes, multiple doors open. That’s always been my perspective, so I am excited to see what the future brings.”

Burton played Steve Burton on the long-running soap from 1992-2021, starring in 2285 episodes during his tenure.

Thanksgiving Inflation

The Farm Bureau’s 36th annual survey found that consumers will pay 14% more for Thanksgiving this year and left-wing media outlet NBC came up with some “helpful” suggestions for cutting costs on Thursday’s meal.

“Perhaps forgo the turkey. Bear with me. I know that is the staple of the Thanksgiving meal, however, some people think turkey is overrated, and so it tends to be the most expensive thing on the table,” NBC News correspondent Vicky Nguyen commented. “Maybe you do an Italian feast instead.”

Nguyen noted that an added benefit of not serving a bird could cause guests to opt out of the celebration, “and that’s a way to cut costs, too.”

A lawsuit filed on behalf of 280 victims of the Astroworld festival tragedy, which left 10 dead and hundreds injured, is seeking $2 billion in damages from defendants including headliners Travis Scott and Drake, Live Nation, Apple, and the Scott’s record label.

Texas attorney Thomas J. Henry claims that the crowd surge that reportedly “trampled, trapped and crushed” victims could have been prevented if not for gross negligence by the defendants.

“The Defendants stood to make an exorbitant amount of money off this event, yet they chose to cut corners, cut costs, and put the festival attendees at risk. Plaintiffs collectively herein bring this lawsuit seeking damages not to exceed $2 billion,” the lawsuit reads.

“My clients want to ensure the defendants are held responsible for their actions, and they want to send the message to all performers, event organizers, and promoters that what happened at Astroworld cannot happen again,” Henry commented.

The complaint was filed just days after a different Texas attorney filed a lawsuit on behalf of 125 fans, including the family of a deceased 9 year-old boy, for $750 million. Scott is “actively exploring routes of connection” with people connected to the incident.

“[Scott] is distraught by the situation and desperately wishes to share his condolences and provide aid to them as soon as possible, but wants to remain respectful of each family’s wishes on how they’d best like to be connected,” a statement from his reps said.

Varsity Blues

Actress Lori Loughlin, who pleaded guilty and served jail time for paying $500,000 to get both her daughters admitted into the University of Southern California as fake athletic recruits, is being defended by said daughters.

Bella Giannulli, 23, discussed the scandal and how it affected their family on a recent episode of her sister’s podcast, “Conversations With Olivia Jade.”

“We both have a really clear perspective … we can just say we’re in the wrong,” Olivia, 22, remarked. “I don’t want that generic kind of topic to be twisted that I’m sitting here asking about mental health and what we went through the last few years and people saying, ‘Are they seriously complaining about this?'”

“It’s not complaining,” Bella added. “You have to take what you’ve been through and learn from that. That’s what talking about it and working through it does.”

“I think just the hardest part of this entire thing was watching how horrible, or reading or seeing, how horrible the media was to both you and mom. And actually knowing you guys and knowing mom has the biggest heart,” Bella continued. “I don’t think one person who’s ever worked with mom can say something bad about her because she’s genuinely the nicest person alive.”

“I think that was hard for me too. I’m not trying to justify or excuse behavior or throw a pity party. … I do very heavily relate to those feelings that you were just saying about mom,” Olivia remarked. “I think for me, even though I also was getting dragged negatively, it didn’t nearly affect me as much as seeing mom getting … she really took this whole thing on her back solely.”

Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty in August of 2020 for their role in Operation Varsity Blues. Loughlin served two months in prison and paid a $150,000 fine, while Giannulli served a five month term and was ordered to pay $250,000.
