Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro went after Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio on Twitter, after the actor spoke out about deforestation of the country’s rainforest.

The celebrity eco-warrior shared a 16-second timelapse of the alarming destruction of the Amazon rainforest within Brazil’s borders, due to rapidly increased mining activity and oil extraction over the past three years.

“How extensive is deforestation in Amazonia, one of the most important places on the planet for people & wildlife?” He tweeted on Tuesday. “According to this map from @mapbiomas, the region has faced an onslaught of illegal deforestation at the hands of the extractive industry over the last 3 years.”

The Revenant star translated the statement into Portuguese in a follow-up tweet, but Bolsonaro expressed his anger in the liberal actor’s native English to make sure his jab didn’t get lost in translation.

“You again, Leo?” He snarked. “This way, you will become my best electoral cable, as we say in Brazil! I could tell you, again, to give up your yacht before lecturing the world, but I know progressives: you want to change the entire world but never yourselves, so I will let you off the hook.”

Bolsonaro’s post was a continuation of his one-sided Twitter feud with DiCaprio. The Brazilian president popped off at the Hollywood A-lister, when he encouraged the country’s you to register to vote before May 4.

“Thanks for your support, Leo! It’s really important to have every Brazilian voting in the coming elections,” Bolsonaro snapped back in reply. “Our people will decide if they want to keep our sovereignty on the Amazon or be ruled by crooks who serve special foreign interests. Good job in ‘The Revenant.’”

DiCaprio hasn’t engaged with the South American politician during either social attack.

I’ve made so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve (naj-94) made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Here’s what I do.

Of course Leo hasn’t responded because he has no argument supported by facts. He and all the other limousine liberals don’t want to participate in the human migration back to the societal futility of the dark ages. He just wants the commoners (98% of the population) to forfeit life’s conveniences on the altar of the bogus climate change religious cult.

About 20 yars ago or so, scientists were examining streams in the middle of the Amazon and ended up discovering that they wee canals. Turns out that the Amazon was pretty much all cultivated land and canals. Whatever caused it to be abandoned lead to the jungle we see today.
