Many Country Music fans are now utterly irate after learning that Country Music Television (CMT) would be participating in a new ‘Wear Orange’ gun control campaign.
As The Daily Wire reports:
Viewers of Country Music Television, known as CMT, are slamming the company and promising to boycott its upcoming awards show after it urged viewers to “wear orange” for a gun control campaign.
“We’re (virtually) wearing orange today in support National Gun Violence Awareness Day and to call attention to the more than 100 lives that are lost every day to gun violence. #WearOrange and visit wearorange.org for more,” CMT tweeted last week.
The Wear Orange campaign encourages people to wear the color orange to “remember lives lost to gun violence and to raise awareness about this public health crisis.” To spread its message, it has partnered with left-wing groups such as Bloomberg Philanthropies, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the Democratic Attorneys General Association. It is also backed by gun control groups such as March For Our Lives and Newtown Action Alliance.

I was waiting for to happen. I quit watching CMT months ago, I was getting the feeling they were slowly going WOKE. Country music tells the story of America. My friends in Europe love it. I’ve seen so many of our major corporations and networks supporting the minority view and not the majority views on major isssues affecting our Nation. I wondered when CMT would join the woke crowd! Will the Grand Ole Opie join them? I don’t think so, there is a large religious celebration, headed by Nashville Pastor Kent Christmas, planned for July 4th. Many leading pastors from throughout the United States will be there, it will be streamed live.

They use numbers like 100 people die from gun violence everyday and call for gun confiscation but there are more people killed everyday by bad and drugged out drivers so where is their call to eliminate their autos and confiscate their autos when they kill someone on the roads. You can’t just look at one statistic and come to a conclusion that guns are bad and autos are not, it’s not the guns or autos it the idiots behind the trigger or steering wheel.

The term is wrong in many ways, but psychologically, it is powerful.
Although use of the term is clever, democrats cannot grasp the fact that criminals don’t ask government’s permission to use or even possess a firearm. Nevertheless, “gun violence” has become a mainstay of the democrat flimflam because it narrows the focus to fit the objective. The objective of course is to disarm the American public. Think about it. Have you ever heard the term “gun gentleness” used by a politician or anyone else?
No? Then ask yourself why the democrat party doesn’t focus on just violence instead of gun violence. Fact is they’re after guns, not violence. They couldn’t care less about the entire field of violence because it commingles criminals with peaceable, lawful citizens and deflects from their intended focus on peaceable, lawful citizens.
Democrats hope to transform arms owners into dependents. Once they’re dependent on the government, democrats will choose which of them they’ll allow to own arms. Unfortunately, that privilege will be reserved for party bosses.
Democrats want citizens to believe making the U.S. safer for criminals will make it safer for their victims. Ask yourself, do you believe being disarmed makes you safer? What kind of political leader would disarm his people while howling about the peril they face? I wonder how many CMT fans will be turned away by its stupidity.
