“Knocked Up” director Judd Apatow called out a New York Times op-ed for suggesting that the FBI raid at former President Donald Trump’s home at his Mar-a-Lago resort was beneficial to his potential 2024 election campaign.

“This editorial is nonsense,” Apatow wrote on Twitter Sunday. “Trump is a criminal who commits bigger crimes every time he gets away with one. He should face the same justice anyone else would.”

He shared a link to a New York Times opinion piece titled: “Did the F.B.I. Just Re-Elect Donald Trump?” Columnist David Brooks asserts that the raid “unintentionally improved Trump’s re-election chances” by motivating “his base” constituents.

“In a normal society, when politicians get investigated or charged, it hurts them politically,” the article claimed. “But that no longer applies to the G.O.P.”

Apatow clearly disagreed with Brooks’ argument. “This editorial assumes if he isn’t prosecuted all of the lunatics won’t find something else to get crazy about,” tweeted “The King of Staten Island” director.

Trump also took to social media on his Truth Social app, to skewer the FBI for the Mar-a-Lago raid in a series of irate messages on Sunday.

“The FBI has a long and unrelenting history of being corrupt. Just look back to the days of J. Edgar Hoover. In the modern era, nothing has changed except that it has gotten far worse,” he began

Trump explained that he was “fully vindicated” for the “Russia SCAM” and both impeachment attempts against him, but chose to raid his home, ban his lawyers, and allow no witnesses, and “knowingly” confiscated privileged material from his home.

“I respectfully request that these documents be immediately returned to the location from which they were taken,” he wrote.

“America has never suffered this kind of ABUSE in Law Enforcement! For the FBI to RAID the home of the 45 President of the United States, or any President for that matter, is totally unheard of and unthinkable,” his final post concluded. “It was for political, not legal reasons, and our entire Country is angry, hurt, and greatly embarrassed by it.”

I’ve made so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Here’s what I do.
