Country music superstar Dolly Parton is considering doing a tasteful Playboy photo shoot for her 75th birthday.
In a radio interview on Saturday, the “Jolene” crooner teased that she’s considering posing for the magazine again.
“Well, there’s some truth in that, I just might do it.” She said. “If I can do it in good taste, and they (Playboy) want it, I will do it, along with a really good interview inside. So, yeah, it’s possible. Yep, we’ve talked about it, let’s put it that way.”
Parton made history in 1978 when she was the first country singer to pose for the magazine. At 32, she donned the classic bunny outfit and bowtie for the cover of the October issue, but did not appear nude on the pages inside.
Parton reminded Instagram followers about her Playboy past in January, when she went viral with the “Dolly Parton Challenge,” by posting the photos of herself that would be considered individually appropriate profile pictures for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder.
She hilariously posted her cover shoot as the choice for her Tinder profile.

The inclination to pose for Playboy is not a passing fancy, she discussed the possibility in a March interview earlier this year, saying that she could “probably” still fit in the original outfit she wore in 1978. “I thought it would be such a hoot if they’ll go for it – I don’t know if they will – if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”

Oh, gracious, I was hoping it was not Dolly. She may be in very good shape at her age (she has had plastic surgery on every part of her body) but still, she needs to act her age and leaving the playboy pics for those who are younger and firmer.

I remember being 24 and I saw this old lady that worked for a bank come into the gas station my friends were working in. She was wearing underalls under her skin tight pants and man that woman had sex appeal written all over her. She was hot. No there is nothing beautiful or desirable about an aged 75 year old woman. Not even with a quart of liquor.

How perverted and evil that Dolly Parton would pose nude in Playboy magazine. It is disgusting. I am ashamed of Dolly Parton and disappointed in her as well. Doesn’t she understand that pornography is evil and ungodly and it is destroying this nation and it is causing sex trafficking and human trafficking to run rampant? She claims to be Christian but she is not acting like it. She needs to repent of this evil she plans to do with Playboy Magazine and change her ways.
I think that your position taken here is a bit extreme. It is Dolly’s choice to do this if indeed she goes ahead and does it. God has awarded her-as indeed he has us all-the free will to make that determination for herself. If she does it and her photo shoot is in reasonable taste as I am sure that given Dolly it would be, it could be viewed as a celebration of Dolly’s age and the good care that she has taken of her body which God gave her. She is proud of her long hard work to take care of herself for 75 years as well she should be; certainly not an easy task as most of us can attest! What she is doing-should she go ahead with the photo shoot-can easily serve as an inspiration for many. God’s ways are not easily discerned; who is to say that if Dolly’s intent is to encourage and inspire that God would disagree?
