The actress and her fashion designer husband were sentenced on Friday for their participation in the college admissions scandal, where the rich and famous bought their children’s way into the country’s most prestigious universities.

Sentencing

Giannulli, the 57-year-old fashion designer of namesake Mossimo Brand, took a plea deal that guaranteed he would serve five months in prison, an additional two years of supervised release, and complete 250 hours of community service.

Slap on the wrist

Full House’s Lori Loughlin, 56, pled guilty to a relatively light sentence of a two-month stint in jail, two years of supervised release, and 100 hours of community service.

Resistance

The couple had previously pleaded not guilty to bribery, fraud, and money laundering along with 11 other parents, but agreed to a plea deal earlier this year.

Crime

Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500k to college scammer Rick Singer to get their two children recruited onto USC’s crew team despite never participating on their high school team.

Lori’s apology

Loughlin tearfully apologized to the judge. “I made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college admissions process and in doing so I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass.”

Mossimo’s regret

“I do deeply regret,” the fashion designer told the court. “The harm that my actions have caused my daughters, my wife, and others. I take full responsibility for my conduct, I’m ready to accept consequences.”

Court Fines

Loughlin and Giannulli are required to pay the court fines of $150,000 and $250,000 respectfully, within sixty days.

Jail Time

The couple will report to an undetermined prison facility on November 19th.

2 months, that’s it? I bet a lot of the Hollywood types would say it’s worth it if that’s all they’re going to get. Bribe to get their kid way ahead? Sure, they’ll do that.

Most colleges do much the same thing in reverse, and get not so much as a slap in the wrist.

But look what Clinton and Schumer did to get their child/ren into Stanford
and Harvard. Used our tax dollars with grants to those 2 colleges.

What a joke 2 months is. Had it been Joan normal she would have gotten 10 years. The justice system in this country is a huge joke

Two whole months, how will she ever survive? Any other person would be sentenced to the maximum and would already be forgotten.

Take off a third. That’s automatic. The elites always get off easy.

But politicians get access for their children to the so called elite colleges by being sure those colleges are receive grants and other goodies (tax dollars for their children’s education) and of course those children receive scholarships as well.

They claim white privileged does not exist when a white couple with money gets a total of six months in a country club prison but a black woman gets twenty years for using her fathers address to get her child into a better school district. Go figure
