Former ‘Harry Potter’ star and current left-wing activist Emma Watson has shocked fans after reports confirmed that she plans on retiring from acting for good.
The news is stunning for a variety of reasons, but perhaps most unusual of all is that Watson is only 30-years-old.
As The New York Post reports:
The “Harry Potter” star, 30, is stepping away from acting, the Daily Mail reported. Watson’s agent told the outlet that she is “dormant” from her career and won’t be taking on any new projects for the foreseeable future.
She also reportedly looking to spend more time with rumored fiancé Leo Robinton. The couple have reportedly been dating since 2019.
Watson’s rep didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Watson’s alleged hiatus comes after a rocky road following her last film, Greta Gerwig’s adaptation of “Little Women.” Page Six reported in December 2019 that Watson refused to join her fellow cast mates— Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, Laura Dern, Timothée Chalamet and Meryl Streep—on the press tour and simply attended the movie’s premiere.
