Former NFL superstar Herschel Walker testified before a House Judiciary Committee subcommittee on Wednesday on the issue of slavery reparations.
Walker shredded the idea, going onto say that reparations should be opposed for moral reasons and that the idea was largely based upon a false ‘white guilt’ perpetuated by liberals.
As The Daily Wire reports:
Former pro-football running back Herschel Walker spoke to a congressional hearing on Wednesday about the possibility of slavery reparations in the United States.
Walker spoke at a hearing for House Resolution 40, which would create a commission to study the topic of reparations. The bill is reportedly sponsored by Texas Democratic Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, who said that the Black Lives Matter protests last year featured “signs in support of HR 40,” adding that now is the right time to create a commission…
According to The New York Post, Walker “said reparations might require black Americans like himself to use genetics company 23andMe to calculate their pay by percentage of ancestry…”
He mentioned that he opposes reparation efforts for political and moral reasons, telling a House Judiciary Committee subcommittee, “We use black power to create white guilt. My approach is biblical: how can I ask my Heavenly Father to forgive me if I can’t forgive my brother?”

1) black slavery started when Africa’s own kings sold their people first to other tribes then to Europeans & middle easterners ,
2) America fought and ended black slavery within it’s own borders as democrats not only founded the KKK but fought to keep black slavery and MANY WHITES DIED ending black slavery,
3) The First Legal Slave Owner in America was a Black Man named Anthony Johnson who was captured in his native Angola by an enemy tribe and sold to Arab (Muslim) slave traders. He was eventually sold as an indentured servant to a merchant working for the Virginia Company in 1621, he earned his freedom after several years, and was granted land by the colony
4) the word slavery is not indicative to ONLY BLACKS as MANY ethnicities & religions have been slaves throughout history Irish, whites, Christians, & Jews suffered the MOST as millions were tortured and murdered during the Jewish genocide when they were slaves so weak minded self made victims need to just GET OVER IT

I have always been curious as to why Blacks are not mad at the original slave traders, Africans, and the original ‘middle men’ is slave trading, Muslims, and why they are not mad at Democrats who wanted to keep slavery going in America? Our country is filled with blacks killing blacks, but those statistics are never brought up. It is totally disgusting that the media is so quick to jump on a Caucasian, esp. a policeman, who happens to kill a black person. But they don’t always report equally , if a black person kills a white person, esp. a policeman. There are “bad apples” in ever barrel, but it doesn’t mean the whole barrel is worth throwing out. All the killings are horrible and everyone would like to see that end, but the media reporting is just plain wacky and keeps this issue stirred up.

I met Herschel Walker after a Vikings vs Giants football game @ Giant Stadium the Giants won. At the Sheraton Hotel he was the first team member on the bus…wearing a suit and tie. I was doing security an a friend who new him well, introduced myself and other officer to Hershel after the game. This wasn’t just an NFL Football Player this was a man with class…he signed Game Programs for our sons, and was absolutely one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I can tell you he’s a man of Honor…back him for Office you say…I think Donald Trump may have a new VP to ponder.
Herschel is one very intelligent individual. He laid bare the fact that he is a very religious man. I would vote for this man as a Senator or Congressman or President.

I think all slaves should get reparations, but I don’t think there any slaves left. Didn’t slavery end in 1865? Are there any slave owners left? No they had to give up their slaves in 1865. Did everybody own slaves,? No. Was every black person a slave or a descendant of a slave? No. Some of them came to this country after slavery ended in 1865. Should they get reparations? No. Should all white people pay reparations even though they had no slaves and their descendants had no slaves? No.
This is nothing but a way for the Democrats to buy votes and the American taxpayer having to pay for it. I hope all you people who voted for Biden will be happy to cough up your money for the reparations. Just wait, this is only an example of what Biden and the Democrats have in store for the American taxpayer. 70 million people didn’t think it was a good idea to remove Trump and put Biden in office. Demand that the Mongols pay reparations to China and Russia for destruction of cities and murder of million by Ghenkis Khan? Demand reparations of Saudi Arabia for Arab invasions of Persia, India, Afghanistan, what is today Israel, Egypt, North Africa, Spain and attacks on southern Europe during which millions were murdered and enslaved? Demand reparations of Turkey for Ottoman atrocities in south-eastern Europe and enslavement of at least hundreds of thousands?
I believe black slaves were hunted, captured, and sold by blacks in Africa. What about my relatives that fought and died for the North side by side with blacks to free them. We have come a long way in this country, improving race relations along the way until Obama drove a wedge between us .

If I have to pay for reparations than I want a slave. My family came to America in the early 1918 and 1930 from Italy. NO reparations, this is stupid. There are no slaves alive today. I have seen and heard him many times on TV. This man is a credit to insight and credibility. Perhaps the dems should “pay.” After all, they founded the KKK which were responsible for much lawlessness, especially to minorities.
My great great grandfather’s brother, who was a full blood Cherokee, was a scout and fought to free slaves… He died during the civil war to free slaves… He was killed before having any sons so that entire family branch was wiped out so are the blacks going to pay my family for the loss of one of our own who died freeing them? What about the tens of thousands of others who died freeing them? Are the blacks going to compensate us?.. Here’s the only repreations acceptable, put those who demand it on a boat back to the ivory coast so they can reclaim their ancestral lands…

As a mixed race, part African-American, I think everyone who wants reparations should be given it. If people cause someone harm, like damage their car, the one causing damage should repair that damage.
Legally, there are two way to accomplish this, one is to give them money to pay a body shop to do the repairs or if we have the necessary skills, we can take the path of “specific performance,” that is, repair the damage ourselves to restore their car to its pre-damaged condition, nothing more, nothing less.
But with reparations how can we calculate in dollars what the correct amount should be? In that case we are left with the remedy of restoring their situation to what it would have been if the wrong had never been done to them through “specific performance.”
Those wishing to have their living situation restored to what it would have been if their African ancestors had never been captured by other African tribes and sold to slave traders, should have their wishes granted. They should be transported back to Africa to the location where their ancestors resided before being sold into slavery. Then they can live their lives as close as possible to what they would have experienced in their native homeland, resplendent with all its advantages of economic opportunity, advanced healthcare, political stability, etc.
I’m not sure how we could do something like “specific performance” for ethnic Tutsi tribal members of whom about 800,000 people were slaughtered in Rwanda by ethnic Hutu extremists in just 100 days in 1994. Perhaps they just get a pass on that part. Perhaps the same would apply to all others who avoided such atrocities by having the advantage of being somewhere else when really bad things happen.
I for one won’t accept reparations, I realize I enjoy far too many advantages being here. When my ancestors came to America, they were fleeing the oppression of rival tribes that would starve them by taking their food or just outright kill them on the spot. No, this experience, though imperfect in many ways, is far better than it would have been had they stayed. I probably would never have been born.
Why should you be forced to pay for REPARATIONS for something that you never had a hand in owning SLAVES! I’m the second generation born in the United States! My family members came to the United States in 1910! What about the BLACKS that sold their own people into SLAVERY? You never hear anything about that at all! Why should I pay reparations? ALL of my ancestors came to this country AFTER the Civil War except for the Amish on my great grandmothers side. NONE owned slaves. The Amish were part of the Underground Railroad who helped free the slaves. Isn’t welfare, food stamps, section 8 housing, medicaid, “war on poverty”, and all the other handout programs enough? Pay all that back and then you can start trying to explain how I owe you.
