Ivana Trump Mourned By Former President And Children After Fatal Fall

Ivana Trump, the former president’s ex-wife, was memorialized by her three children after being found “unconscious and unresponsive” at the bottom of a flight of stairs in her home.

The 45th president announced the tragic death of his first wife, 73, on his social media platform on Thursday, after she was discovered by a staff member in the early afternoon, after suffering from a suspected medical issue or accidental fall down her staircase. 

“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Trump shared through his Truth Social account. 

“She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life,” he continued. “Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!”

Trump and Ivana were married in 1977, and divorced in 1992, after his affair with his future second wife, Marla Maples.  

Their youngest son, Eric, 38, shared a tribute on behalf of his siblings hours after he was spotted leaving Ivana’s Manhattan home with his wife Laura following her untimely death.   

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” he wrote. 

“Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren,” the statement concluded. 

Ivanka, honored her mother in an additional social media post. “Heartbroken by the passing of my mother,” she shared. “Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She lived life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance. I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always.”
