Jennifer Aniston Forced to Put out a Literal Trash Fire After Emmy bit Goes Wrong

Jennifer Aniston was quick to react when a coronavirus gag went bad while she and Jimmy Kimmel were presenting an award at the 2020 Emmy’s on Sunday.

The award show’s host, Jimmy Kimmel, cracked jokes about the pandemic and quarantine, before The Morning Show actress, Jennifer Aniston, met him on stage to help present the award for lead actress in a comedy series.

The pair started the bit by standing across the stage from one another to keep socially distanced.  When Aniston asked why Kimmel was so far away, he joked that Dr. Fauci recommended sixty feet.

After Aniston introduced the nominees, Kimmel donned rubber gloves and sprayed the winner envelope with what the Friends’ star called an “extreme” amount of Lysol.

Kimmel joked, “You never know where these accountant’s hands have been,” before tossing the envelope in a waste basket filled with paper and setting it on fire.

After letting the fire burn for five seconds, Kimmel was ready to retrieve the envelope with tongs, “once all the germs burned off.” Aniston was handed a fire extinguisher and had to put out the flames three times, before Kimmel could pull out the charred envelope.

While Kimmel joked the envelope was “sanitized for your protection,” Aniston set down the extinguisher to continue presenting the award, but flames shot up from the waste basket, and someone off stage yelled to “put it out.”

Aniston exclaimed, “oh shoot,” as she once again gave the garbage can two long sprays of the fire extinguisher, while Kimmel powered through their skit. Like a true pro, once the fire was subdued, she recited her dialogue without missing a beat.

Catherine O’Hara of Schitt’s Creek won the Emmy, which was handed to her off-site by a presenter in a full hazmat suit tuxedo.

The joke received mixed reactions from viewers on social media. Some thought the mishap was hilarious, one user tweeted: This is a literal dumpster fire and I’m dying of laughter.” While others were dismayed by the stunt’s tone-deafness to the West Coast wildfires. “I’m so confused why they would light anything on fire at the #Emmys considering the entire state of California is on fire,” said another.

I just think it’s weird how the democrats and hollyweird can make jokes about a sham epidemic that has pretty much ruined anyone that had a life before it hit. People are dying and or losing everything because of this virus and they just laugh it off While the West coast burns away. I hope hollyweird gets the same in return when WE the People stop going to the movies or watching TV while we all laugh as they lose everything.

A lot of Americans have stopped watching movies and anything Hollyweird. TV ratings have fallen and continues to fall and these empty heads and spoiled brats continue to live in a bubble, far detached from reality.
Much like the make believe characters they pretend to be.

The show drew only 5.1 million total viewers, down 14% from last year’s event, according to early estimates from Nielsen. The Academy’s second hostless show in a row scored a 5.3 rating among adults 18-49 in the fast national ratings, a 31% dip from 2019. No one with at least one active brain cell pays any attention to the Hollywood Elite and their BS. It would be much more entertaining to sit out back and watch my grass grow and there are no commercials.
