Late night host Jimmy Kimmel came out swinging at the unvaccinated in his show’s return from summer hiatus, suggesting that ICU patients that had not been inoculated should be refused treatment and left to die.
“It was not a fun Labor Day weekend COVID-wise,” Kimmel said in his opening monologue, noting that COVID cases were up by 300% from last year.
“Dr. Fauci said if hospitals get any more overcrowded they’re going to have to make some very tough choices about who gets an ICU bed,” he went on.
“That choice doesn’t seem so tough to me. ‘Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right in, we’ll take care of you,” Kimmel suggested. “Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy.'”
The “Jimmy Kimmel Live” host was referring to infected patients that had used ivermectin as a coronavirus treatment, which is typically prescribed to treat parasitic worms in horses.
He noted that the drug’s maker Merck had released a statement that ivermectin is not an effective treatment for COVID-19 and poses health risks for those who take it without a doctor’s prescription.
“We’ve still got a lot of pan-dimwits out there,” Kimmel continued. “People are still taking this ivermectin.”
“The poison control center has seen a spike in calls from people taking this livestock medicine to fight the coronavirus, but they won’t take the vaccine,” he concluded. “It’s like if you’re a vegan and you’re like, ‘No, I don’t want a hamburger, give me that can of Alpo instead.'”
