Kanye West made news earlier this week when he chose to wear a “White Lives Matter” shirt at his YZYSZN9 (Yeezy Season 9) fashion event in Paris, France, an event that also featured right-wing writer Candace Owens. The shirt also featured a picture of the Pope on the front. The picture sparked outrage from the media, going back to their most common insult towards Kanye, calling him “crazy”. Along with media outrage, blue checkmarks on Twitter, including Occupy Democrats, Tweeted about Kanye. Many calling the slogan “White Lives Matter” a symbol of hate and extremism.

West, later added on his Instagram story that BLM is a “scam” and “over”.

The “White Lives Matter” shirt with the Pope on the front is not only to be taken literally, but could also be taken as a symbol of West’s shift in ideology. Kanye supported Trump throughout his Presidency; has released an album titled “Jesus Is King”, a Christian Rap album; his pro-life stances, friendships in the right-wing community, and continued support of Donald Trump are a far cry from Kanye just a decade ago.

While Kanye has been a Christian throughout his life, being young and famous can cause a person to stray from his faith. Kanye, now a father of 4, wants to be the best father possible.

On Oct. 6, Kanye had a sitdown interview with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson.

Kanye went over his disdain for the media, his faith, his pro-life stance, his recent divorce from Kim Kardashian, along with multiple other areas of discussion.

From The Daily Wire’s breakdown and transcript of the Kanye West Fox News Interview:

Rapper Kanye West slammed the mainstream media during an interview this week where he said that God was preparing Christians for “real battles” against godless forces, which included the media.

“It’s using a gut instinct, a connection with God, and just brilliance,” West said. “You know, like, because if you ask, like, Tonya Harding how she did the triple flip or the triple spin she was in so much practice that, when it was time for her to skate in a — in a — in a competitive format, it just happened. Like, it happened outside of practice. It happened in the real format.”

“And that’s what happened. That’s what happened as God is like preparing us for the real — for the real battles,” West continued. “And we are — we are in a battle with the media. Like, the majority of the media has a Godless agenda.”

TRANSCRIPT:

TUCKER CARLSON, FOX NEWS: So, you made reference to the “White Lives Matter” T-shirt that you brought out at Paris Fashion Week.

KANYE WEST, MUSICIAN: Yes.

CARLSON: Why did you do that, and what did it mean?

WEST: You know, I did — I do certain things from a feeling.

I — like, I just channel the energy. It just feels right. It’s using a gut instinct, a connection with God, and just brilliance. You know, like, because if you ask, like, Tonya Harding how she did the triple flip or the triple spin…

CARLSON: Yes.

WEST: … she was in so much practice that, when it was time for her to skate in a — in a — in a competitive format, it just happened. Like, it happened outside of practice. It happened in the real format. And that’s what happened. That’s what happened as God is like preparing us for the real — for the real battles. And we are — we are in a battle with the media. Like, the majority of the media has a Godless agenda. And their jokes are not working. This whole, like, oh, Ye’s crazy and all these things, they don’t work, because the media has — you know, they’ve also watched travesties happen, just even specifically to me, and just watch it and act like it wasn’t happening. And they stayed quiet about it.

Kanye West has been a controversial figure for years. Over a decade ago, then-President Barrack Obama called West a “jackass”.

In the years following, many in the media have called Kanye “crazy”, even inspiring the song “Kanye Krazy”, however, the Lil Durk song isn’t necessarily about calling West “crazy”. The song was about West’s ambition, controversies, and West’s struggles with mental health.

Kanye’s mental health struggles are often swept under the rug, or, treated with very little sympathy by the media. West announced he’s diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018, and despite being aware of his mental health struggles, the media calls him crazy for his opinions.

If you watch the interview for yourself you’ll see a cogent and articulate man who’s very obviously a thinker. Nothing during indicated anything about West being “crazy”.

I find it the most honest of individuals, when they come together & deny the BLM scam, liars, criminals & white haters. The people you mentioned above, are REAL, because, they aren’t haters of another race. God doesn’t hate any race & doesn’t condone to race hating. Kanye just showed the world how much BLM hates whites, for zero reasons. They are just haters & criminals. I stand behind all of the above mentioned people as they love God & practice God’s teachings. The wearing of “white lives matter” attire, coming from real black great folks, was the best event in the world. It brought out all the haters, who constantly, talk about racism. BLM is total racism…..
