Former “Growing Pains” star Kirk Cameron is becoming a pain for California Governor Gavin Newsom, after he held two outdoor caroling events in Los Angeles County.
The devout Christian actor partnered with “Sing It Louder USA” to hold a “peaceful protest” featuring hundreds of maskless carolers in the parking lot of The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks, CA.
After the first event drew a crowd of 500 people, who came out to protest Newsom’s strict lockdown orders, Cameron enthusiastically spoke about the event.
“Listen, we had the most amazing time this last Sunday. It was a Christmas caroling peaceful protest. Have you ever sung Christmas carols by candlelight at a time when your state governor has prohibited you from doing that? In America!” He told an interviewer. Well, this is actually happening; you can’t make this up. People had such a great time; it lifted our spirits. Over 500 people gathered in our local community for this peaceful protest as part of the “Sing It Louder USA” gatherings.
He then spoke of trying to double the attendance as he got word out about the Dec. 13 follow-up.
“And we’re having an encore protest this Sunday at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks, California. We want to double the size of our local gathering and sing Christmas songs, Christmas carols at the top of our voices.”
Law enforcement was called to the scene by mall security, but they merely educated carolers about mask-wearing, without handing out citations or making any arrests.
