Liberal actor Matt Damon is now under fire for apparently using the ‘f-word’ slur to refer to gay men up until recently.
As The Daily Wire reports:
Actor Matt Damon is facing a storm of outrage after saying he only recently stopped using the “f-slur” to refer to gay men.
Damon made the comment in an interview with the Sunday Times while he was explaining his views on the evolution of “modern masculinity.”
“The word that my daughter calls the ‘f-slur for a homosexual’ was commonly used when I was a kid, with a different application,” the “Stillwater” star said
He then went on to describe a recent confrontation with his daughter after he used the word, saying, “I made a joke, months ago, and got a treatise from my daughter. She left the table. I said, ‘Come on, that’s a joke! I say it in the movie Stuck on You!’ She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the f-slur!’ I understood.”

All of us who are over 50 probably used slurs for gays and lesbians when we were young but should avoid using them now.

Honestly, it is not nice to hurt anyone’s feeling. But I think it is getting totally out of hand, it is amazing how everyone is taking everything so personally, that’s the problem with this world you feel like you have to walk on eggshells because you might hurt someone’s feeling. I was picked on in school as a kid but never even thought about it.
Problem is, though, no matter what’s said can hurt “someone’s feelings”! Of course, anyone who wishes can say whatever about conservative Christians, RTL’s and Trumpers … they don’t count…

I have Homosexual friends who use the word regularly. It is just that….a word.
I will call such people or any of the LGBT crowd of militants who seek to force YOU to accept what is far from what was once considered moral and normal, whatever I wish to call them as I see FIT and there is no SCIENCE involved in the LGBT movement or transgenderism since one in actuality IS what one was born as , no matter how they see themselves and that is the Absolute TRUTH. Of Course, the Lunatic left has no concept of the meaning of the word or illegal and is but one reason we are feing flooded with ILLEGAL ALIENS posing as refugees when a high percentage of them are drug cartel members, MS-13 gang members, human traffickers or various and sundry other criminals in this country who have already been Deported several times but are allowed to leep returning by the powres that be who should NOT be the powers that be. and yes, Virginia,it IS that simpe. and so are we all for accepting such rampant stupidity!

I wouldn’t knowingly say hurtful words. However I think people should be able to say whatever they want without fearing repercussions from the woke crowd.
I’m so sick of people getting their feelings hurt over every little thing. We’ve become a nation of pansies. There I said it and I don’t apologize for saying it. I fly an American flag in my yard and I don’t care what anyone says about it. On Robert E Lee day (It is still celebrated in the part of the country I live in) I fly the Confederate flag and again I don’t care what anyone says about it. Intentionally aiming to hurt someone is wrong, but, c’mon people! Lighten up, have some fun, joke & mess around! For instance, I’ve got a friend here that’s Mexican and he’s a riot with all his Mexican stories & stuff. There’s way too many weenies out there with paper-thin skin when they should learn to be more self-depreciating and think a whole lot less of themselves. Their crystal a**es are way too fragile, life is no picnic and hard enought without trying to play through the minefields of these crazy “woke” whatevertheycallthemselvestoday. Even good comedians can’t be funny today. Think of the greats – Carol Burnett, Red Skelton, Redd Foxx, Lucile Ball and on and on….

A word is just a word. It has no control over you unless you let. I feel we should say whatever we want. Something is always gonna offend someone for some reason. So people just need to accept it, say whatever, and don’t let things offend you. Be stronger than the words.

You’re only allowed to use slurs if you’re using them against someone who does NOT support the leftist views.
Of course Americans should be able to speak their minds freely regardless of whether or not it offends. That’s what freedom of speech is. Using slurs injudiciously will lose you friends and cause you to be shunned, but losing your right to speak freely is a greater loss. There is another loss of rights that is often overlooked in this discussion and that is the right to hear what others have to say. I want to know who the racists are in my community. I might be able to influence them in a more positive direction if I’m allowed to hear them express themselves. Or I might know better who to avoid.

I don’t see any reason for anyone to use racial slurs at all! I try to not even say things that designates a persons nationality. I don’t have to say; “My Black/African friend” said this or that. it means I’m either ingratiating or bragging myself.
This article has absolutely nothing to do with Race. It has to do with how some define homosexual men.
