Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson prevented a dangerous situation in the least violent way possible this week.

Tyson, 55,  was watching a comedy show at a rooftop bar in Hollywood, when an unhinged man challenged him to a fight, then pulled out a gun. The rest of the attendees scrambled for cover, but Tyson remained seated.

According to eyewitnesses, the man wanted to elevate his “status” by getting into a brawl with the champ, but the bar’s MC intervened and shoved the man towards the bar’s exit.

“What the f— are you doing? Get the f— out of here. I’m not playing with you, get out of here, bro. I don’t give a f—,” the MC was heard saying in a video of the incident.

The man started to leave and claimed he was just “joking,” before he yanked a gun out of his waistband and patrons were sent scrambling under tables to avoid being shot. The man reportedly claimed to change his mind and said “I’m out of here.”

He put the gun back in his waistband, but turned to Tyson and told him, “Hey I love you fam, salute to all of your accomplishments, for real, if it wasn’t for you we wouldn’t have no inspiration, I love you OG, for real. From the heart, for real.  Respect.”

The MC told him to leave again, but Tyson summoned the gunman over. Initially the man responded with a no, but when he finally approached the aging boxer embraced him with a hug.

The man then exited the bar, but not before calling Tyson “a sucker” on his way out. “You b—h a– n—-r, you not an OG,” he added out the door. When he was gone the entire bar applauded Tyson for helping resolve the situation peacefully.
