PGA Golfers Chip At Each Other On Twitter

Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau have been going at it on social media, after a video revealed Koepka’s disdain for DeChambeau earlier this week.

In a post-match interview, Koepka was discussing the challenges the weather had placed on his putting when DeChambeau marched past behind him and muttered something the camera’s audio couldn’t pick up, but was clearly cringeworthy, as Koepka was distracted enough to comment on it.

Koepka closed his eyes and scoffed, then stuttered his response and said, “I lost my train of thought, yeah, after hearing that bulls**t.” He was never able to recover enough to continue, and the interview ended seconds later.

Whatever DeChambeau said has clearly launched a rivalry, and Koepka took it public after it was announced that Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be partnered with DeChambeau for The Match event on July 6 in Big Sky, Montana.

“Sorry bro,” Koepka tweeted to Rodgers. DeChambeau shot back that “It’s nice to be living rent-free in your head!”

Koepka upped the ante by replying with a video of DeChambeau getting pissed off when somebody called him Brooksy after a drive.

Rodgers, who is caught in the middle, replied to Koepka’s post with a GIF of Will Ferrell’s “Anchorman” character’s famous line: “Boy, that escalated quickly.”

Rodgers and DeChambeau will be playing against Superbowl champ Tom Brady and PGA winner Phil Mickelson in the charity golf outing, so naturally, Brady had to get in on the ribbing.

Brady posted several memes of the moment Koepka cringes as DeChambeau walks by. One reads, “Aaron realizing he has to spend the whole day with Bryson,” while “Bryson, happy to be here,” is superimposed over DeChambeau’s head.

His partner Mickelson couldn’t resist throwing in a jab. “I feel like I’m in the middle of something and should step aside. (Except they want the CURRENT PGA champ,” he said replying to Koepka’s original tweet.

Not professional! Nothing is anymore. It’s all up for grabs, and White men can’t Jump. Why “from the Jump” is a Black thing. Not “From the Mind”
