Conservative Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet angered liberals when he said that children are being “indoctrinated” and “groomed” by the sexual predators teaching them.

During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Mamet discussed Florida’s Parental Rights in Education act, which bars schools from teaching children younger than 10-years-old about sexual orientation and gender identity.

“We have to take back control,” Mamet remarked. “If there’s no community control of the schools, what we have is kids being not only indoctrinated but groomed in a very real sense by people who are, whether they know it or not, sexual predators.

“Are they abusing the kids physically? No, I don’t think so. But they’re abusing them mentally and using sex to do so,” he continued. “This has always been the problem with education – teachers are inclined, typically men because men are predators, to pedophilia.”

Mamet, who spoke to Fox News host Mark Levin to plug his new book, Recessional: The Death of Free Speech and the Cost of a Free Lunch, noted that there used to be previous “strict community structures” about sex education.

But the system “started to break down when the schools said, ‘you know what, we have to teach the kids about sex. Why? Cause what if they don’t do it at home?’”

He blames politicians for pushing their agendas on children. “People have gone nuts and people are frightened because there’s huge changes in society, that are brought about by the people in power,” Mamet concluded. “The people in power, as always, are to a large extent, parasites who are feeding off of the decaying flesh.”

Naturally, woke Twitter lost their minds. “Oh my… David Mamet lost his mind,” remarked actor Ken Olin.

“Is this David Mamet the playwright and screenwriter?????” Questioned Walter Shaub, the former Director of the United States Office of Government Ethics. “It’s David Mamet the as–hole,” shot back actress Ellen Barkin.
