Super Bowl champions, the Los Angeles Rams, offered to pay the bills of a female photographer who fell off the stage at their rally and was severely injured.

Event photographer Kelly Smiley took a photo of quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly, then tripped backward and plummeted ten feet to the ground, breaking her two cameras and fracturing her spine.

The Staffords were shocked when they witnessed the fall. Kelly rushed to her aid, but Matthew, who had been downing alcohol during the parade could be seen saying “Oh my God,” before he spun on his heel, took a drink of water, and walked the other way.

Smiley said she was “feeling okay,” but ended up being admitted for her injuries. Fans are less than pleased with the recently ringed champ’s reaction to Smiley’s accident.

“How do you watch a person fall like that and just walk away?” one critic questioned on Twitter.

“Well that shows all you need to know about Matthew Stafford’s character right there,” said another.

“I hope [he] can find some spare change in that $60.5 million contract he’s getting paid and donate to the young lady’s GoFundMe” one person wrote

“The funds raised by this gofundme will help cover Kelly’s growing medical expenses as well as replace the camera gear that was severely damaged due to her fall,” her GoFundMe page reads.

The Staffords responded in a statement on Thursday. “As we told Kelly, we will be covering all her hospital bills and replacing her cameras. We wish her a speedy recovery.”

Some fans defended the quarterback for being too drunk to be effective in an emergency situation. “Stafford saw her fall and told Kelly to take care of it,” Barstool Sports wrote. “I don’t blame him, he’s pretty hammered. Kelly would prolly be better to assist her,” a commenter replied.

Stafford should’ve listened to seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady, who shared a photo of the couple at the parade and captioned it: “Mix in a waster Matt… Trust me.”
