Sean Penn Secretly Marries Law & Order Actor Vincent D’Onofrio’s Daughter

Sean Penn keeps getting older, but his wives stay the same age. The 59-year-old Oscar winner married his 28-year-old bride in a secret ceremony last week.  

Penn confirmed to Seth Meyers that he tied the knot with Leila George in an at home ceremony officiated over a Zoom! call. Only Penn’s two adult children and George’s brother were present for the wedding. Eldest daughter Dylan Francis is a year older than Penn’s new bride.     

After Meyers pointed out that the small ceremony seemed much less stressful than his own 2013 wedding, Penn remarked that there are “socially liberating factors under Covid.”  

George is the daughter of Law & Order: Criminal Intent actor Vincent D’Onofrio and Italian actress Gretta Scacchi.   

This is Penn’s third marriage. Here are some of his famous exes: 

Madonna 

Penn married the singer in 1985 after just six months of dating. Their volatile marriage was of high interest to the press and Penn responded with violence that landed him in jail for a month. They divorced in 1989.

Robin Wright

Penn had two children, Dylan Frances and Hopper Jack, with his second wife, House of Cards star Robin Wright. She filed for divorce in 2010 after many attempts to mend their on-again, off-again relationship and remarried a French fashion executive in 2018.

Jewel 

When Penn was off with Wright, he pursued singer Jewel in 1995, following her onto the road while she was on tour. He reunited with Wright in 1996.

During another separation from Wright, Penn dated Czech super model Petra Nemcova in 2008, then rekindled their romance four years later in 2012 after she called off her wedding to English actor Jamie Bellman.

Charlize Theron 

The Oscar winner and Penn started off as friends, then became an item in 2013. He proposed on a trip to Paris in late 2014 and they began shooting movie. A month after appearing very together during the Cannes Film Festival in France, the couple called off their engagement in June of 2015.

Penn reportedly rebounded with Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly a few weeks after breaking up with Charlize Theron in summer of 2015. However, the relationship was never confirmed, and Kelly has shot down speculation as rumors.

Leila George

Current wife Leila George began dating Penn, who turns 60 this month, in 2016 when she was just 24. The young activist can be seen below advocating to #SaveLACougars, no word on whether or not she meant Penn.
