NBA superstar Lebron James is an incredible athlete and absolutely dominates the basketball court. However, his record off the court has been far less stellar, with James racking up an embarrassing record of saying some of the stupidest and most clueless statements on politics and current events possible.
Here are some of the star’s dumbest and most embarrassing moments:
Candice Owens blames Lebron for BLM violence
In the wake of the LA County Sheriff’s shooting on September 12, conservative author Candice Owens blasted James inciting violence against the police with a tweet that read: “We’re literally hunted EVERYDAY/EVERYTIME we step foot outside the comfort of our own homes,” which he posted in the wake of the Ahmaud Arbery shooting.
Why does this happen? Because pea-brained celebrities that are idolized like @KingJames tell young black men that they are “literally being hunted”. This is the natural result of such hyperbolic, dishonest rhetoric.
The racist, anti-police, black lives matter LIE is to blame. https://t.co/9U4c1kJgMv

LA Sheriff’s Challenge
Following September’s Compton shooting of two officers, Sheriff Alex Villanueva challenged James to match the $175,000 reward to find the suspect. The usually outspoken athlete’s response was “zero comment.”
@KingJames You've stoked the fears into black folk by discounting facts. Now it's time to see if you'll play both sides of the court. LA Sheriff Alex Villanueva challenges Lebron James to match reward money for gunman who ambushed two deputies in Comptonhttps://t.co/IbSY01nRgf

Silence on Darfur
When James doesn’t have the right answer, inaction is his fall back. In 2008, LeBron’s teammate Ira Newble approached James about signing letter condemning China for the country’s role in the Darfur genocide. Newble said at the end of the day, James, who had his own museum in Shanghai at the time, declined to sign the letter.

Hong Kong
Perhaps James only clams up when China is involved. After Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey’s tweeted support for Hong Kong protesters, the NBA released a statement that his comments were regrettable.
Ever the company man, James commented that he believes Morey “wasn’t educated on the situation at hand,” and added, “so many people could have been harmed, not only physically or financially, but emotionally and spiritually.”

Morey Backlash
After receiving harsh criticism for his comments, James took to Twitter back track that he didn’t think Morey was uneducated about the situation, but the consequences of China’s reaction. “I do not believe there was any consideration for the consequences or ramifications of the tweet.”
Let me clear up the confusion. I do not believe there was any consideration for the consequences and ramifications of the tweet. I’m not discussing the substance. Others can talk About that.

Rough Week
In a follow-up tweet he said, “My team and this league just went through a difficult week. I think people need to understand what a tweet or statement can do to others. And I believe nobody stopped and considered what would happen. Could have waited a week to send it.”
Surely the league’s rough week had nothing on the Hong Kong protestors being teargassed. Commenters on Twitter had no sympathy for LeBron or the NBA.

Calling out Trump
When Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry declined to visit the White House after the team’s 2017 NBA Championship win, President Trump rescinded the invitation. James called the president a “bum,” and said, “Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!”
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!

Give Trump Lemons…
James accused the President of trying to divide the country with sports in an interview with Don Lemon. “He’s used sport to divide us, and that’s something that I can’t relate to,” he stated. “It has never been something to divide people. It has always been something to bring people together.”
“I like Mike”
In response to the interview, Trump said Don Lemon “made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do.”
When asked if the President’s comment bothered him, James responded, “What bothers me is that he has time to even do that. He has the most powerful job in the world. Like, you really got this much time that you can comment on me?”

Jeering at Trump
In an interview with the web series Uninterrupted, James said of Trump: “The number one job in America … is someone who doesn’t understand the people, and really don’t give a fuck about the people”
At least he didn’t drop out of college.
Why would he drop out? He was making a fortune to play college ball.
Labraun never went to college.
I get paid over $100 per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I’d be able to do it but my best friend earns over 15k a month doing this and she convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless .Heres what i have been doing….https://cutt.ly/IfliCrL
Lets me in on yo secret. Ahs ready any time.
Lebron did not go to college went to st Mary’s high school never stepped foot on a college campus as a student
LeBron James is no Michael Jordan
Lebron should give all his wealth to the disadvantaged he talks about to prove his “concern”. Has anyone else wondered how he “just” got religion in 2020?? Of course, let him save enough money to move to any other Country that would have given him the opportunities to become as wealthy as he has for simply being able to handle a basketball ? What a hypocrite!
he’s nothing like tiger who’s father started the tiger woods foundation and tiger has events where money goes to it.they are heavily involved in stem and to all races.
He should have went maybe he might have been a little smarter
Le Moron is just a low IQ uneducated athlete
I don’t think he ever went to high school, and graduated, he is to dumb, to think he learned anything there. All talk and no action, another dummycrap jackass.
