We’re tracking the conservative culture clash with woke Hollywood hypocrites to keep you up to date on who’s winning and who we hate.

 Here’s what happened today:

Rebranded

Rapper Kanye West has officially changed his name to “Ye,” and Trevor Noah said that the reason for making the switch has to do with his association for former President Donald Trump.

“I get why he changed it,” the host of “The Daily Show” joked. “I mean, if I had gone super-MAGA like he did last year, I also would want to distance myself from myself.”

West was often photographed wearing a red MAGA hat, prior to forming his own political party and running for President in the 2020 election.

“I think it’s safe to assume that anything Kanye does is for personal reasons,” Noah continued. “I mean, this man has never uttered the words, ‘Let’s go with whatever’s easier for everyone.’ I don’t think he’s that kind of guy.”

Fatality

Adrian Holmes, the actor who portrays “Uncle Phil” in the “Fresh Prince” reboot, was involved in a fatal car accident on Monday that left a man dead.

Holmes reportedly struck an unidentified man who was laying in the middle of a Los Angeles freeway on Monday. He was unable to avoid running the man over, as was the car behind him, which propelled the man into another lane, where he was hit by a third car.

Police are investigating why the man was on the freeway, but illicit substances are suspected to be the culprit.

Called Out

Comedian Ricky Gervais thinks Generation Z is going to get a dose of their own medicine from their successors.

“I want to live long enough to see the younger generation not be woke enough for the next generation. It’s going to happen,” Gervais said on his podcast Absolutely Mental. “Don’t they realize that it’s like, they’re next? That’s what’s funny.”

“We kicked out the old guard. We did it,” he noted. “There’s only so woke and liberal you can get and then you start going the other way. But it’s inevitable.”

Volunteering

Actor Morgan Freeman volunteered to sit in on the seven-member board vetting police recruits interviewing for positions at the Gulf Shores Police Department, in the 12,000 person Alabama town where he owns property.

“It was kind of a last minute thing, but he was an active participant,” said Deputy Chief Dan Netemeyer. “[Freeman] had a hat on, and he was kind of sitting back. When he introduced himself it was almost like an old ‘Candid Camera’ scene.”

The actor and other members of the panel asked questions of the candidates. “It was that voice, the same one you hear in the movies,” Netemeyer remarked.

Porn-cast?

A Washington state TV station aired a 13-second clip of raunchy porn during their evening newscast on Sunday evening.

The X-rated content appeared behind meteorologist Michelle Boss, as she seemingly unknowingly gave the temperature forecast, before the clip switched to weather maps.

The station apologized, but the Spokane Police Department’s special victims unit is launching a probe into the event.

“The incident generated numerous calls from concerned citizens in the city and county. At the time of this release, the investigation is ongoing and no culpability of any kind has been determined,” a department spokesperson said

Loud

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Larry David had a simple explanation about why he was filmed plugging his ears in a viral video during New York Fashion Week.

“It was that bad,” David said about the show. “There was a speaker behind me blaring music. The reason I was there was because my friend’s fiancé, he thought it would be helpful if I came. My presence is never helpful.”

Taking A Stand

Actress Blake Lively flipped out on the Hollywood Star Kids Instagram account when they posted a photo of her three daughters with husband Ryan Reynolds.

“This is so disturbing,” Blake commented on the photo of her family. “I’ve personally shared with you that these men stalk and harass my children. And you are still posting. You said you would stop. You personally promised me. This is not casual appreciation. This is YOU also exploiting very young children. Please. Delete. Please.”

“Some parents are ok with this,” she continued. “We. Are. NOT.”

The account took down the post and the former “Gossip Girl” star thanked fans. “Thank you to everyone UNFOLLOWING accounts who exploit children,” she said Instagram Story. “YOU make ALL the difference. Thank you for your integrity. Thank you.”

Incarcerated

Convicted sex trafficker and singer, R. Kelly, has been placed on suicide watch following the guilty verdict of his trial in New York. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for next May, and he could face up to life in prison.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” singer is also on the hook for state and federal charges in Chicago that include multiple counts of sex abuse, enticement of a minor, and child pornography. The trial is set for August of 2022.
