Tuesday Update: Actress Claims Ivanka Made Racist Insult, Cancelled Gina Carano Pimped For Award After Firing, Tim Tebow’s NFL Return Infuriates Colin Kaepernick Fans

Ivanka Under Attack

“Independence Day” actress Vivica A. Fox claims Ivanka Trump insulted her with a backhanded racist compliment during the taping of former President Donald Trump’s final season as host of “Celebrity Apprentice” in 2015.

“I’ll never forget that when I did ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ and Ivanka Trump, she said, ‘Wow, you speak very well,’” she told E! host Andy Cohen. “No, Andy. I hate to say it. I don’t think she knew at the time that she was insulting us. I really think that she thought she was complimenting us. That it was like, ‘Oh, wow, you guys are intelligent.’”

Award Show Awkwardness

Actress Gina Carano was fired from “The Mandalorian” in February, but despite giving her the axe for “abhorrent and unacceptable” social media posts, parent company Lucasfilm is pushing for her to get an Emmy nod for her work on the show. In the company’s recent ad campaign for the awards show, Carano is listed under the supporting actress category to be considered for a nomination. 

NBC announced that they were canceling next year’s Golden Globes broadcast after the controversial Hollywood Foreign Press Association failed to reform its lack of membership diversity. A-list actor Tom Cruise returned all three awards he has won throughout his career in condemnation of the organization.   

NFL Return

Progressives are pissed that the Jacksonville Jaguars are planning to sign former quarterback turned tight end, Tim Tebow, for a one-year contract, but former San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is not being considered for a position in the league.  

“There’s no way you can tell me that Tim Tebow deserves to be on a team as an unproven tight end who hasn’t played in 9 years more than Colin Kaepernick. There’s just no way that’s gonna make sense,” posted one furious Twitter user.

Can't believe I have to say this to the anti-Kaepernick group 5 years later: Just admit you hate the guy and it doesn't matter if he's more talented than several other NFL QBs. You love the blackball.

Kentucky Derby Doping

The suspended trainer of Kentucky Derby-winning horse, Medina Spirit, claims he didn’t cheat to win the race after the thoroughbred tested positive for a performance-enhancing drug, and says cancel culture is to blame for the public scrutiny.  

“With all the noise … We live in a different world now. This America is different. It was like a cancel culture kind of a thing so they’re reviewing it. I haven’t been told anything. We’re prepared to run,” Bob Baffert said of the upcoming second leg of the Triple Crown event. “We did not cheat to win the Kentucky Derby.”

Dracula’s Vaccine Site

Romanian doctors have designated Count Dracula’s Transylvanian castle as a vaccination site for COVID-19. At the menacing hilltop castle that inspired Bram Stoker’s 19th-century masterpiece “Dracula,” local residents can receive a jab and a “vaccination diploma” that features an illustration of a fanged medical worker holding a syringe. In addition to inoculation, recipients get free entry to the castle’s medieval torture rooms. Yikes.
