Whoopi Goldberg Apologizes For Neo-Nazi Comments After Threat Of Legal Action

The Whoopi Goldberg was forced to apologize to Turning Point USA after she claimed they “embraced” neo-Nazi’s protesters and the conservative organization threatened “The View” with legal action.

On Monday, the show’s co-hosts complained that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis spoke at TPUSA’s Student Action Summit while neo-Nazi’s protested outside of the event.

“Neo-Nazis were out there in the front of the conference with antisemitic slurs and, you know, the Nazi swastika and a picture of a so-called Jewish person with exaggerated features, just like [Joseph] Goebbels did during the Third Reich,” Joy Behar accused. “It’s the same thing, right out of that same playbook.”

The show’s legal team tried to do damage control by reading TPUSA’s statement that the demonstrator’s “have nothing to do with” their organization, but Goldberg couldn’t resist adding her two cents.

“You let them in and you knew what they were,” she snuck in before a commercial break. “So you are complicit.”

TPUSA’s lawyers slapped “The View” with a “cease-and-desist” letter that gave the show until Wednesday to issue a retraction for their “unquestionably harmful” segment,” or face legal action.

Co-host Sara Haines issued an on-air apology on Monday, but TPUSA made it clear that they wanted to hear it from Goldbert.

“The apology was issued by Sara Haines,” the conservative group tweeted. “Whoopi remained silent and has not retracted her comments that TPUSA “metaphorically” embraced “Nazis.””

Goldberg caved to the pressure during Thursday morning’s show. “In Monday’s conversation about Turning Point USA, I put the young people at the conference in the same category as the protesters outside, and I don’t like it when people make assumptions about me and it’s not any better when I make assumptions about other people, which I did,” she said. “So my bad, I’m sorry.”

I’ve made so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. I’m using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’ve (naj-94) made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Here’s what I do.
