Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson won’t take a knee during professional sporting events after conversing with NFL players.

The reality star is using his new Facebook Live show, At Home With The Robertson’s, as a platform to discuss hot button issues dividing the nation. In a recent episode, he invited New Orleans wide receiver Michael Thomas and former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster to debate if kneeling during the National Anthem is a “powerful protest or is it disrespectful to the military?”

Robertson, whose son Willie Jr. is biracial, supports the right to protest, but “I just felt like the flag should really bring us together … that just feels a little un-American.”

“At what point is it appropriate to make your point?” He questioned.” I just kind of wanted to dig into that.”

However, after hearing his guests speak about the topic, he said their point of view was “really eye-opening.”

Thomas, who is a Black player in the NFL, thinks pro ballers have a responsibility to address racial injustice. “When it comes to issues in the African American community, why can’t we be the leaders and the champions of that as well? And use our voice and platform and do it?'” He said.

The Duck Commander CEO maintained that he would remain standing while the Anthem played, despite the discourse.

“I would hope we could see the flag and realize even in our differences that it kind of pulls us together although, we see maybe it doesn’t,” he remarked. “I’ll still stand [during the National Anthem] cause that’s what I’m going to do and just because someone — especially our guests that came in — just because they don’t’ doesn’t make me dislike or hate them at all. I can understand it better.”

I haven’t watched a NFL game since asshole knelt the first time! And I don’t care if they never kneel again I still won’t watch them! I’m just hoping that they loose enough fans that they can’t make the money that they want to!

If you kneel for anything but to pray, you are a coward and are not worth listening to.

So what are they doing to bring the black murder rate down in Chicago, NYC, Baltimore and other democrat run cities? Kneeling for the flag has not stopped the murders and shootings.

The only thing they do by taking a knee for the National Anthem and our flag, is to further drive a wedge between people! How about trying to bring about healing within our country?! Oh, I forgot, that would go against the party platform, which seems to be aimed at destroying our country as quickly as possible!

I think if they want to protest then they should do it on their own time not by disrespecting our nation’s flag

If they want to do something to help their cause go into the communities and HELP them. Go out there and do something about it. Spend some of your millions to promote family values.

It could once be said all these athletes, those aspiring to be, as well as those who are professionals, were home grown, now, that is not necessarily true, BUT, as long as their wealth is coming from their professions in America, they owe respect to that which is America, which by the way is not a perfect nation. Such a nation does not exist, so honor the one who feeds you, by a polite act, stand for the flag, as a gesture of thanks for your wealth, and the contribution to your, and perhaps your families well being!
