Social media users tried to use a decades old video to get “Dumb and Dumber” star Jim Carrey cancelled for his comments on Oscars.

Carrey spoke out about how “spineless” celebrities were to give Will Smith a standing ovation for his Best Actor win, after he had just assaulted Chris Rock in front of a live audience.

“I was sickened by the standing ovation. I felt like Hollywood is just spineless en masse, and it really felt like, oh this is a really clear indication that we aren’t the cool club anymore,” he told Gayle King on CBS This Morning.

He said that Smith should have been escorted out and arrested, and that Rock should have gone after him civilly.

“I’d have announced this morning that I was suing Will for $200 million because that video is going to be there forever. It’s going to be ubiquitous. You know, that insult is gonna last a very long time,” Carrey added.

After his remarks, woke Twitter gunned after Carrey and unearthed a 25-year-old clip of “The Mask” star behaving badly at the MTV Movie Awards. In the video, Carrey laid a huge smooch on an unwitting Alicia Silverstone while accepting the Best Comedic Performance award for 1996’s “Cable Guy.”

“Says the guy who sexually assaulted Alicia Silverstone on stage,” the videos caption reads.

“Mind you she was 19 and he was 35,” the user posted in follow-up tweets. “Poor Alicia ran off stage in humiliation. The absolute entitlement he has to forcibly kiss a 19 year old girl and then point fingers at will smith for being ‘uncivilized’. At least Will didn’t sexually harass a teenager.”

The same person posted a photo of Carrey trying to stick his tongue down Smith’s throat at the same event. “Bruh he also tried to force himself on WILL SMITH!! THE VERY SAME NIGHT!! you can’t make this stuff up,” the caption reads.

Despite the Jim Carrey hater’s posts, event photos proved that there was not bad blood between any of the stars. Carrey, Silverstone, and Smith all posed happily together after the “Bruce Almighty” star accepted the award.

“I know you all want this to be a thing and catch fire so we cancel Jim Carey, but sorry, not gonna happen. What else ya got?” Read one caption.
